Feeling Blue

After a win over Louisville in the second round of the ACC Tournament, Duke’s momentum is stopped due to a positive Covid-19 test. This marks the end of the 2020-2021 season for the Blue Devils. 

With two convincing performances in the first two rounds of the ACC Tournament, the odds were finally starting to turn in Duke’s favor, until now.  The Blue Devils had a streak of 24 consecutive NCAA Tournament before today’s decision to cancel their season. 

This has obviously been a tough season for the Blue Devils in terms of games that they “almost won.” Duke was in a good position to come out of this tournament with an NCAA Tournament bid. 

Now the Blue Devils have to set their sights on the 2022 season and they have a lot to look forward to. As usual, there are talented incoming freshman and with this abrupt ending, we could see a lot of current players return for another season.
