In his second game back in Boston, Kyrie Irving scored 39 points as the Nets take Game 4 of the first round series against the Celtics. While Brooklyn’s ‘Big Three’ should be the main story here, they aren’t.

Kyrie Irving has recently spoken out against racist fans in Boston, where he played for two years. Kyrie’s comments along with the unnecessary actions from a few fans all around the league have definitely made the playoffs a bit more interesting this year.

Kyrie’s comments about Celtics fans only added fuel to the fire before his return to TD Garden, where a full house of Celtic’s fans booed him on Sunday.

On the way to the locker room after securing the win, Kyrie appeared to get hit by a water bottle that was thrown at him. This incident prompted even more comments about racism from Kyrie in his post game press conference.

A few Celtics players, such as Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown, have also spoken out about hearing racist comments in Boston, but racism may not be the reason that a fan threw their water bottle at Kyrie Irving on Sunday night.

Before leaving the court, Kyrie appeared to walk over to the Celtics logo and stomp on it. If you know that the people there dislike you, why add even more fuel to the fire? This could have definitely prompted a fan to throw something at a player.
