Things are getting real in the college football world. The Big Ten conference has just announced the cancellation of their 2020 College Football season, just days after team schedules were released on social media. This has been a long foreseen fear for football fans everywhere.

This decision was made due to growing Covid-19 concerns in college football. A vote was taken among conference presidents on Sunday to cancel the season. Only Nebraska and Iowa voted to play. A formal announcement is expected on Tuesday.

Now everyone will be anxiously awaiting the decisions of the other Power 5 Conferences to see if they will follow suit. There’s a big chance that there will be no college football this year. Check on your friends that work in this industry… they are not okay.

The Big Ten football conference consists of the following teams:

  1. Illinois

  2. Indiana

  3. Iowa

  4. Maryland

  5. Michigan

  6. Michigan State

  7. Minnesota

  8. Nebraska

  9. Northwestern

  10. Ohio State
